Allergan Aesthetics is looking for an Editorial Copywriter (CRM) to join our creative team in crafting compelling content across the world’s leading, consumer-facing aesthetic brands—Botox Cosmetic, Juvéderm, Coolsculpting and more.  It’s an exciting time here as we build out our new in-house agency which will support the world’s leading aesthetic brands with personalized communications. To do this right, we need to hire the best and brightest—and that’s why we want you!  

Reporting into the creative CRM group, you will be instrumental in developing content strategy, topics, writing and editing content that eloquently bridges SEO-driven needs with on brand voice and personality. You will bring a portfolio of work that demonstrates content strategy across websites, emails, newsletters, video, and other personalized communications. Understand how to bring how-to or instructional messaging to life for social audiences.  Know how to take complex or technical elements and make them relatable and clickable through both verbal and visual narrative. Live online and know how audiences interact digital content. And most importantly, you understand that the consumer is at the heart of every piece of communication.

You Will

  • Executing high quality content that positions our brands and platforms to meet the needs of various consumer audiences across a wide net of topics.
  • Write SEO-optimized long form content with social media variations optimized to each platform.
  • Support various brands and platforms on developing a strategic editorial calendar and keeping it fresh with compelling topics our audiences care about.
  • Support owned social and email channels, websites, research reports, infographics, presentations and affiliate or editorial media partnerships.
  • Collaborate with the creative and content teams to mine for ideas and gather information on key concepts to translate into appealing content.
  • Proactively assess metrics and incorporate key learnings to impact and guide work.
  • Oversee publishing working with our project management and digital teams.
  • Work within Contentful and various digital systems to build posts and deploy.
  • Research content ideas and bring ideas and topics to collaboration meetings with team.
  • Partner with compliance and review teams to incorporate ongoing requirements and feedback, while ensuring creative work adheres to brand standards.

Required Experience & Skills

  • 7+ years of copywriting experience in an editorial or content creation role at an agency, publisher, or in-house marketing environment; experience in beauty, retail, health, or CPG a plus.
  • Portfolio demonstrating excellence in long form SEO-driven content and social storytelling; please demonstrate metrics on top pieces.
  • Keen editorial judgment; ability to rapidly absorb complex ideas and distill them into accessible narratives for various audiences.
  • Experience with content planning and strategy and be able to surface topics that will help drive the success of the brief against the audience needs.
  • Working knowledge of marketing workflows and trigger-based marketing.
  • Experience working with media and publishing platforms to craft sponsored content opportunities.
  • Strong analytical abilities and knowledge of SEO best practices, Google Analytics, and common CMS tools (Contentful).
  • Excellent organization, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Bachelors in English, Communications or Journalism; or equivalent.
