Allergan Aesthetics is looking for an Art Director to join our new in-house agency. You’ll be joining the team at an exciting time as you'll not only be elevating our brand creative, but contributing to the team building our internal agency from the ground up. This is one of those “once-in-a-lifetime” opportunities where you’ll be integral to the agency’s success right from the beginning. Reporting into a Creative Director, you’ll work alongside designers, copywriters, and content creators. You are a big picture thinker who brings a strategic POV to the work. Someone who can seamlessly marry concept, photography, design, and typography into storytelling narrative—regardless of the channel. You will offer thoughtful art direction to the work as well as to a team of visual designers. You’ll bring a balanced blend of strategic creative problem solving. Have a hands-on approach to design. And most importantly, deliver concepts that engage our consumer and elevate the brand.

You Will

  • Lead cross-channel campaigns from concept to delivery, working with copy and brand marketing partners to ensure that concepts & art direction are on strategy.
  • Develop work that brings our brand narratives to life across all channel touchpoints—video, social, digital, mobile, PR, and more—tailored to the audience and medium.
  • Motivate and mentor a team of visual designers to produce high-quality creative ideation, development, and execution of cross-channel deliverables.
  • Maintain and elevate brand standards, creating cohesive experiences across all touchpoints.
  • Translate metrics and key data points into fresh insights that guide and inform the work.
  • Collaborate with project managers to ensure resource alignment based on brief assignments.
  • Showcase an always-on curiosity, staying up-to-date on trends and bringing fresh ideas to the team to inspire their creativity.
  • Partner with compliance and review teams to incorporate ongoing requirements and feedback, while ensuring creative work adheres to brand standards.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years experience working in-house or agency-side, creating rich content and media for consumer-facing brands; experience in beauty, retail, health, or CPG a plus.
  • Strong aesthetic POV and ability to translate brand voice, personality, and identity into powerful ideas.
  • A diverse portfolio that demonstrates your role in visual art direction and campaign creative.
  • Expertise in social platform requirements, asset preparation and how people engage with these channels to optimize assets and experience.
  • Expert level knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and graphic design tools.
  • Proven ability to communicate and collaborate cross-functionally.
  • Excellent organizational, presentation, and communication skills.
  • A strong typographic sensibility and nuanced eye for producing visually arresting concepts in all mediums.
  • Working knowledge of front-end web technologies and ideally have some familiarity with front-end design styling .
